Chesapeake doctor accused of unnecessary surgeries seeks speedier trial, argues coronavirus restrictions unconstitutional

Dr. Javaid Perwaiz, who is charged with performing unnecessary surgeries on unsuspecting women, has been in custody since he was arrested Nov. 8, according to court documents. A total of three indictments have been filed against him.
