For diving into danger — on the home front — a Navy rescue swimmer is honored

Petty Officer 1st Class George Parsons III won the Navy's highest award for non-combat heroism for helping a police officer apprehend a suspect. In the Navy, he said, "We’re used to risking something to help people. That’s just part of the job.”
